Color

The international color grading scale ranges from D to Z with D being the highest, and most rare color rating, actually referring to colorless diamonds.
The lowest rated colors are those from S thru Z – these diamonds have a yellowish tinge. 

Royal Asscher selects diamonds grades D-J, with over 80% of our diamonds are above H color, which exceeds the industry standard. 
 
Fancy color diamonds - yellows, pinks, blues and oranges are not included on the D to Z white diamond scale, instead they have their own classification system. Fancy color diamonds are incredibly rare and very valuable. Royal Asscher is famed for an interest in fancy colors and welcomes customer requests about the sourcing of such diamonds.
